Ruiner | Back To The Day Of The Dead

Last time, I take some cool stuff from Ruiner's guitarist Danny Porter. He sold lot of rarities like Test Press and other Record Release editions. If you read this blog some times, you may know Ruiner is one of my favourite Hardcore band ever and I love to collect their special edition.

A couple of month ago, I found one of my best Ruiner's wish : the Ramones rip off cover. This time, I found an other one : the Back To The Futur cover !

When I see this edition on the Ruiner's website, I immediatly understand this : "It will be mine. Oh, yes... It will be mine".

This is the Record Release edition of What Could Possibly Go Right... released by Grave Mistake and Firestarter Records on Clear Green vinyl out of 50 and handnumbered. The illustration of this cover is huge ! Back To The Futur ! The geek inside me is completely pleased.

This edition is stamped and handnumbered on the record label. I got the n° 46 of 50.

There's also a cool big insert but, yeah, I'm so lazy to scan this thing.

To console myself that the What Could Possibly Go Right Test Press is too expensive for me, I took the Test Press of the Split Single with Day Of The Dead released by Burn Bridges Records.

In fact, Vendetta, a german label, released the first press and Burn Bridges from Baltimore released the second press.

This is the Test Press of the second press, out of 10 on black vinyl with a special cover.

This edition is handnumbered on the front cover (mine is n° 2 of 10) and stamped on the label.

Finaly, I got the Preorder edition of the Split released by Vendetta. Yes, this time it's the first press out of 1000 on Black vinyl including 75 copies for the Preorder edition with a special cover.

Concretely, this is just a piece of paper puted on the front cover. No big deal, but cool sketch.

This edition is also handnumbered on the front cover. I got the n° 73 of 75.

Ruiner - I Heard This (Test Press) Is Assholes

It's been a few weeks I received these two records but I have not had time to talk about that.

I must say I am particularly excited to have these two albums. First, Test Press's of Prepare To Be Let Down, Ruiner's debut album. Then, the Record Release edition of their super compilation I Heard These Dudes Are Assholes. A record I've always found really cool with his tribute cover to the Ramones.

I had the opportunity to get both at once and I'm very happy.

We start with the edition produced especially for the release party of the compilation I Heard These Dudes Are Assholes, released on Bridge Nine.

What makes the charm of this edition is her tribute to the first Ramones album cover. The idea is certainly not new but it's a true success !

200 white vinyl copies were used for this edition. This is the most common color because the regular edition was pressed in 1000 copies.

The disc is hand numbered on the back cover. I have the n° 70.

In fact, the cover of the special edition is just a foldover sleeve. Inside we find the standard record with his cover (ugly !). The insert is exactly the same.

Musically this compilation is a must!

Normally it comes with a CD and a wonderful book but the seller forgot to send it to me. He must send it to me but I'm still waiting. Fuck.

Then, so I kept the Test Press of the Ruiner's first album : Prepare To Be Let Down. A great album which I already own the Record Release edition and the second pressing.

As often now with Bridge Nine, Test Press has no cover, just a blank innersleeve.

The label has a stamp with the band name, the words "Bridge Nine Test Pressing" and the handnumber. I have n° 15 out of 20.

On the back, the is the Bridge Nine's stamp.

This is my second Ruiner's Test Press after the Split with Attica Attica.

Ruiner / Attica ! Attica ! | Split Single (Test Press)
