Verse - Bitter Clarity, Uncommon Grace

Verse is my favorite band. When they separated, I was depressed. When they reformed, I was in heaven. When Bridge Nine has announced the release of a new album ... Imagine !

Automatically, within seconds after the announcement of the preorders, I ordered everything that could be ordered : white, smoke and "Preorder" pack.

After many listenings, I must say I have mixed feelings about this album. There is good or very good, but there are also things not terrible or bizarre. The musical turn is a little disappointing, but I lose all reason with Verse, so ...

I received my lovely package from Bridge Nine few days ago. First, postal workers are really assholes. One corner of my package was smashed and all the covers of my records have therefore had a slaughtered corner. Fuck, fuck, fuck. Fuck you "La Poste" or "U.S. Postal" or whoever you are.

The cover illustration is absolutely beautiful. What a fucking class ! I love her too.

As always now, Bridge Nine has not given details of the press. But it is not risky to think that the White vinyl is the most common.

Edit : Bridge Nine finally gave the pressing informations. This one is out of 1000.

The back cover is also very beautiful.

White vinyl addition, I also ordered the Clear Red / Smoke. Really not bad.

Edit : Bridge Nine finally gave the pressing informations. This one is out of 700.

The "Preorder" pack was announced with the rarest edition. After the blow of Promises Kept's green vinyl, I say that the pack would contain a special color. So, I also ordered him, despite the fact the content is not really extraordinary.

Bingo! A few weeks later, Chris from Bridge Nine has confirmed on his Instagram. So I also received the Clear / Black vinyl, supposed to be the rarest.

Edit : Bridge Nine finally gave the pressing informations. This one is out of 300.

The pack also contained a tshirt, sticker and the poster below :

The insert is common to the three colors.

A few days ago, Verse organized the release party for the album before going on tour in Europe. An edition Record Release was performed in 150 copies with a special cover and the Clear Red Smoke vinyl.

It was quick, we already find the beast on eBay and prices are already indecent ...

Ruiner - I Heard This (Test Press) Is Assholes

It's been a few weeks I received these two records but I have not had time to talk about that.

I must say I am particularly excited to have these two albums. First, Test Press's of Prepare To Be Let Down, Ruiner's debut album. Then, the Record Release edition of their super compilation I Heard These Dudes Are Assholes. A record I've always found really cool with his tribute cover to the Ramones.

I had the opportunity to get both at once and I'm very happy.

We start with the edition produced especially for the release party of the compilation I Heard These Dudes Are Assholes, released on Bridge Nine.

What makes the charm of this edition is her tribute to the first Ramones album cover. The idea is certainly not new but it's a true success !

200 white vinyl copies were used for this edition. This is the most common color because the regular edition was pressed in 1000 copies.

The disc is hand numbered on the back cover. I have the n° 70.

In fact, the cover of the special edition is just a foldover sleeve. Inside we find the standard record with his cover (ugly !). The insert is exactly the same.

Musically this compilation is a must!

Normally it comes with a CD and a wonderful book but the seller forgot to send it to me. He must send it to me but I'm still waiting. Fuck.

Then, so I kept the Test Press of the Ruiner's first album : Prepare To Be Let Down. A great album which I already own the Record Release edition and the second pressing.

As often now with Bridge Nine, Test Press has no cover, just a blank innersleeve.

The label has a stamp with the band name, the words "Bridge Nine Test Pressing" and the handnumber. I have n° 15 out of 20.

On the back, the is the Bridge Nine's stamp.

This is my second Ruiner's Test Press after the Split with Attica Attica.

Run With The Hunted + Unveil (Part 2)

Here is the following vinyl that I got at the concert of Run With The Hunted and Unveil. This time it's the LP.

So I bought the first Run With The Hunted's album. I had never taken it because I think it's not as good as Destroy All Calendars.

The disc was released by Panic Records a while ago now

Of course I had the most current version : Grey, limited to 511 copies.

The cover design is classic but classy.

The insert is actually an inner-sleeve, which is surprising since the records also contains a inner-sleeve blank.

The other record is the first Unveil's album released on Cobra Records : A Flame With Nothing To Feed It. A fucking records !

My version is Black.

I have not managed to obtain information about the pressing of this disc.

A nice tip is included.

Too bad the band broke after the tour ...

Run With The Hunted + Unveil (Part 1)

Sorry for the lack of new notes, too much work, no camera, ... But to return, I switch to english. This makes the content much more universal and accessible to as many people. I take this opportunity to apologize for my pathetic english.

Last night we organized a show with Run With The Hunted and Unveil, a wonderful opportunity to stock up on vinyl. I came back with the arms loaded. That's why I decided to divide it into two parts : the 7" and the LP.

We start with a Run With The Hunted's 7" : Silent Conversations. The disc contains two pieces of the band's first album. I do not have much information on this edition, it seems to be a self-production.

The cover is silkscreen printed. Simple and effective.

My vinyl is Black. According to the scant information I could gather, there are two different versions : black vinyl / black cover limited to 100 copies, and black vinyl / white cover also limited to 100 copies.

The insert is very nice.

Run With The Hunted is a really cool band. Their EP Destroy All Calendars is one of my favorite discs. It is these four titles that have the most groove on stage.

Then I recovered two Unveil's 7", a very good band from Switzerland. Their show was huge.

The first, and oldest, is Destruction Wherever I Go released on Start A Fire Records. A four titles with a beautiful package and a really neat packaging.

My vinyl is Black and limited to 300 copies. There are also transparent vinyl (77 copies) and red (75 copies).

The disc contains an insert.

The second is Hypnopaedia, released in co-production at Start A Fire and Take It Back. Also four songs and a gorgeous cover !

I also have the Black vinyl limited to 350 copies. The other one is a Green / Black limited to 150 copies.

There is also an insert.

We have given the realization of the flyers to Benoit Carbonnel and we can say that we have laid something pretty crazy. Love !

Finally, a small Run With The Hunted's stickers.
