Triple B Records Mystery Box

It's been a while since the last post was published, but I have too much work, it's sad. I have some new cool stuff, but I'm going to talk about that later.

Today, what are we given here is the first Triple B Records Mystery Box. Yeah, like Bridge Nine. You pay a few box and you got some random stuff from the record label. It's like a lottery, maybe you got a beautiful Test Press, maybe some stupid shit or common records.

I never had any sort of luck with that kind of stuff... 

The deal with Triple B was : you pay 15 $ and you get some random cool stuff. But, no special edition like Bridge Nine. Because the shipping cost is indecent (30 $ !!!), Triple B had promise some extra stuff for european customers.

Great, the principe is cool and I like mystery box concept, so I spend 45 $ (fuck) and wait.

Last days I received my Box with some excitement. And... Fuck off ! What that shit ?!

Ok, I know this is the deal. It's a lottery with no assurance to get some rare or cool stuff and it seems that Triple B was a little surprise by the big number of order. But, hey, seriously ?

What's in my box ?

Bane - Boston 6:58pm on Clear Green from the second press, this is the more common edition... 200 copies, still available on the label store. I already have this records with this color...

America's Hardcore Compilation Vol. 2 on Clear Blue. Yeah the more common edition, 1050 copies, still available on the store too... Like the Clear Red, more rare.

It's a good record and I had the intend to take it at the occasion, but it's slight.

And... Two tshirts. One (ugly) from Dead End Path, and one (pretty cool) from the label.

And... That's all. Nothing more like stickers or anything else. Just a sheet that explains how many cool stuff were in the (others) box.

Ok, I play the game, I lose, I'm not lucky, I support a really cool record label, ... But hey, 45 $ for these common stuff that Triple B couldn't sell !!!

I never had any chance with Bridge Nine's Box but they give a ton of CD's, stickers and extras with any box.

I'm fuckin disapointed... and a little bit anger.

Clear | Demo (This Is Hardcore)

Last time, we talk about the great first Demo of Clear. Clear is the brand new band of Have Heart's singer Pat Flynn. And Clear is a little more accessible than Wolf Whistle. The band is decidedly influenced by Minor Threat and some other amazing 80's stuff. This is a really great record.

So, Triple B released two colors : the Clear (hu hu) one, out of 300, and the Clear Blue one, out of 600 copies. There's also a Test Press (without cover) out of 15 copies and a Tape released by Back To Back and gived by the band to their friends.

Today we talk about the This Is Hardcore Fest edition. The TIH fest was an Hardcore festival held in Philadelphia last august. Clear played and came with a beautiful alternative edition.

This special edition came with the classic Clear Blue vinyl and an alternative homemade cover. I got the n° 9 of 100.

The drawing on the cover is the one found inside the classic cover with the lyrics.

Unlike the regular one, this edition came with a photocopied insert.

Bane | Boston 6:58 PM

Ok, why I'm talking about this old stuff released a few years ago ? Oh, it's simple : if you're an internationnal buyer at the Triple B webstore, you need to buy more than two items for the shipping. So, when I ordered my Clear 7", I took the opportunity to buy some Bane stuff.

I love Bane. This is a fucking great band. We organized their show in Marseille in early year and this was so fuckin' good.

So, I ordered the Give Blood anniversary reissue (what an amazing records !!!) and the Boston 6:58 PM 7".

It's been a long time I resisted, I know those records (Boston, Dublin, Rome) are traps and I don't want to collect the same records again and again. Too bad.

I only have the Clear Green of the second press out of 300 copies and I'm ok with that. Great record, great cover, great concept, great color. It's enough.

Maybe, someday, if I have a few bucks, I could take the other two... Or some other color variations... Maybe...

Clear | Demo

Just a little post to speak about the first Clear's demo, out now on Triple B Records. Clear is the new band of Have Heart's singer Pat Flynn. This is a really great records with six tracks influenced by Minor Threat.

Triple B made two editions for this first release : Clear vinyl limited to 300 copies and Clear Blue limited to 600 copies.

A special edition was made for the This Is Hardcore Fest with the Clear Blue vinyl and an alternative handnumbered cover out of 100. There's also a Test Press out of 15 without cover and a Tape released by Back To Back Records.

I've just got my copy. Nothing special, nothing crazy, just the Clear version out of 300. But great cover and great records.

Lyrics and credits are inside the cover but I'm so lazy, I doesn't scan this thing.

Wolf Whistle | MA Glory & Old 7"

Wolf Whistle, the supergroup with members of Have Heart, xFilesx and Breathing Fire, just released their new 7" : MA Glory.

As always with the group from New Bedford, the record is a concentrated of fury balanced over a dozen ultra short tracks. Have Heart fans will always be disturbed by the singing of Pat Flynn ah ah...

So, it's a good opportunity to talk about their three 7".

Last but not least, MA Glory have just been released by Six Feet Under Records. Three 7", three label. Fun.

The band put eleven tracks on one 7" ! They are crazy.

The vinyl is available in three colors : Clear Blue, Black and Opaque Aqua. I don't know how many each edition were pressed.

The design of the cover is really cool !

Demo Two & Live WERS Set

The second Wolf Whistle's 7" combine the Winter Demo 2007 and the live give on the radio station WERS on February 5, 2009.

The vinyl was pressed by Triple B Records in Black (400) and Gold / White Marble (100). 15 Test Press and a second pressing in Clear Red (200) also exist.

Once again, I love the cover !

I also have the Demo Two's Tape released by Working Man Records. This is the Solid Blue tape of the second run, limited to 50 copies.
